Football weekend in Atlanta

2 Days in Nov
North America

Route Details

As a Browns fan living in Ohio, flew to Atlanta to see them play the Falcons.

Day 1

  • Centennial Olympic Park
  • College Football Hall of Fame

Flew into Atlanta and took the metro to check in to our hotel, Georgian Terrace. It has a great location, very historic and fit the bill for the 1 night we stayed in town. We took the Metro close to Centennial Olympic Park and enjoyed walking through it, especially since it was dressed up for the holidays. Then we walked to the College Football Hall of Fame which was an awesome experience. They have all the major college awards in cases for viewing, a ton of interactive exhibits and the college football immortals on the top floor with highlight reels for each. We had a good dinner at Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft and called it a night.

Day 2

  • Georgia Dome

Went to the Browns vs Falcons which turned out to be awesome since we won with a game-winning field goal as time expired. Swung by the hotel to grab our bags after the game and flew back to Ohio the same evening.

Atlanta was really easy to get around with public transportation and walking, and felt pretty compact for what we wanted to do. The College Football Hall of Fame is definitely worth it for any football fan.
