Miami

North America

Route Details

We flew to Miami on a long weekend to get away from the winter cold. We spent most of the time on the beaches and eating Cuban food, and here are a few highlights and tips:

  • Wynwood Walls – amazing area with lots of street art and restaurants. If you’re really into art, you could spend a whole day walking through the streets and looking at all the different murals.
  • We stayed at The Hotel of South Beach, which is definitely a party place. Lots of conventions and famous people around.
  • Puerto Sagua had the best food. Some people we met traveled quite a ways across Florida just to eat here.
  • Padrino’s Cuban Cuisine was also really good.
  • Beach access is free, but parking is rough. Lots of valets and parking garages so be prepared to pay.
