Day 1
  • Champerret Elysées Hôtel, Avenue de Villiers, Paris, France
  • Arc de Triomphe, Place Charles de Gaulle, Paris, France
  • Sacre Coeur Cathedral, Parvis du Sacré-Cœur, Paris, France
  • Panthéon, Place du Panthéon, Paris, France
  • Notre Dame, Paris, France
  • Eiffel Tower, Paris, France

We arrived to Paris on and reached the city center via the RER train. We stayed in the 17th arrondissement at Champerret Elysees Hotel.

The first day, we visited the Arc de Triomphe but decided not to visit the top because it was raining and visibility was poor. The Arc was taller than I thought it’d be. We also saw groups of men participating in the “ring scam.” We took photos and took the metro to Sacre Coeur. On the way, there were several souvenier shops in Monmarte with the best prices that we could find. We skipped it on the first day, but went back to shop on our last night.

Sacre Coeur was beautiful and we went inside for a few photos. We then hopped on the metro and visited the Pantheon. The Pantheon was massive and was an impressive sight. I’d read about a great 3 course diner in the basement and we eventually found it. The line was very long and I learned that you needed a membership or the price was doubled. We passed and walked to the Holy Chapel. Since you needed to pay admission, we skipped it and headed to Notre Dame. We took photos of the exterior and waited in the long line to enter but it moved very fast. Entry was free, so we took some photos/videos inside Notre Dame. We then headed to the Eiffel tower to watch the light show that happens at the top of the hour. It was an amazing sight to see.

Day 2
  • Louvre Museum, Rue de Rivoli, Paris, France
  • Champs-Élysées, Paris, France
  • Place de la Concorde, Paris, France
  • Pont des Arts, Pont des Arts, Paris, France

The next day, we went to the Louvre museum. The line was incredibly long and we didn’t want to wait since our trip was so short. We took photos of the exterior and visited the Catacombs. The line for the Catacombs was even longer, so we did not go inside. Instead, we headed to Champs Elysees and walked along the iconic avenue. Along the way, we took several photos of Invalides and the nearby statues. We continued to walk along the Seine river and made it to Concode Square. After taking a few more pictures, we decided to head to the hotel to recharge our phones/camera and take a break. We headed out at night to walk the Seine river and visit Pont Des Arts. We brought a “love lock” and placed it on the bridge and threw away the key. We went out for dinner and drinks in Montmarte.
