Day 1

We landed at Cancun International Airport.  After getting through customs you get a bunch of taxis offering you rides.  We decided to go with Transporte Terreste because it was private, we got to book a round trip, and we wanted to get there as soon as possible.  We go to our hotel BlueBay Grand Esmeralda in Playa del Carmen in about 40 minutes.  That night we went to a dinner show then after dinner we went to a fire show on the beach.

Day 2

On day 2 we stayed in the hotel because of weather. We explored the hotel and did some activities.  For dinner we went to the seafood restaurant and after dinner we saw a Michael Jackson show.

Day 3: Aventuras Mayas – Tulum Xtreme Package

Day 3 we decided to do some excursions that we booked with the company Aventuras Mayas in our hotel lobby.  The package we chose was the Tulum Xtreme.  This excursion package came with a visit to Tulum, Repelling, 3 zip lines, and cave snorkeling.  The first stop was Tulum, the only Mayan temple directly on the beach.  We got a one hour guided tour and another hour to explore ourselves.  The next stop was at Aventuras Mayas base where we would do repelling, zip lines, and cave snorkeling.

Day 4

Day 4 we stayed in the hotel again and just enjoyed the amenities that they had to offer.  We ended up spending about half of our day at the spa.

Day 5

Our last day we wanted to participate in as many activities as possible.  We played bingo, basketball shooting contest, and beach volleyball.  We spent most of the day at the beach and pool. We went to the steak house for dinner the last night.

Day 6

We woke up early to catch our ride back to the airport with Transporte Terreste. Getting through customs was really smooth getting in and out of Mexico.  We had a 7 hour layover in Denver, so we spent most of that time in the United Club lounge.
